Ofcom Branding

Ofcom was formed in 2002 as the government-approved regulatory and competition authority for the broadcasting, telecommunications and postal industries of the United Kingdom. I created the new identity, brand and communication guidelines the launch the organisation.

They required clear,modern and most importantly modular brand identity to convey the many complex messages needed for the industry. The solution was to create a semiotic alphabet that could be combined across all channels and materials.

I also worked extensively on defining the user experience, architecture and design of the corporate website.
