Vauxhall One Branding

In 2011 Vauxhall-based businesses formed, as part of the Business Improvement District Scheme, a new organisation to tackle some of the area’s longstanding problems and build a dynamic new business quarter. They required a name, identity and brand to communicate to investors and businesses. I was approached to deliver the project. The challenge was to create an inclusive brand that brought together the many diverse communities within Vauxhall – the gay community, arts organisations, charities and corporate businesses.

The solution was – VauxhALL ONE.

The identity would then be scalable and able to accommodate the 4 channels of activity – VauxhALL SAFE, VauxhALL TOGETHER, VauxhALL DAY & NIGHT and VauxhALL CHANGE.


The main thrust of the project was to publicise a regeneration plan for the area and promote THE RIBA Vauxhall – The Missing Link Design Competition (Shown below).
